Should I publish my prices at all?

For solo domestic cleaners, usually yes. It saves you answering the same question repeatedly and filters out enquiries that were never going to pay your rate. If you work mainly on referrals at a premium, you may prefer to quote individually.

What if my prices are higher than other cleaners in my area?

Then your price list should make it obvious why: what is included, that products are included, and that you are insured. Clients paying more want to see what they are paying for.

How often should I update it?

Review once a year, ideally at the same time each year. Change the “valid from” date and reissue it.

Should I include VAT?

Only if you are VAT registered. Many solo cleaners are below the threshold, and if that is you, leave VAT off the price list entirely.
