Work out the job using your hourly rate, but present the client with a fixed price per visit where possible. A fixed price gives the client certainty about what they will pay.

Do I need to see the property before quoting?

It is strongly recommended for anything beyond a small regular clean. If a viewing is not practical, ask for photos of each room and make the condition assumptions clear on the quote.

How long should a quote be valid for?

Thirty days is typical. It gives the client enough time to decide without locking your prices in for months if your costs or availability change.

What is the difference between a quote and a service agreement?

The quote sets the price and what it covers. The service agreement sets everything else, including cancellations, access, products and how either side can end the arrangement. Send the quote first, then the agreement when the client accepts.
